"God' is In Control"

It was somewhat hard for me understand why bad things happen to so many people in Joplin, Mo. In May 2011. Was the deadliest year for tornadoes since 1950 I know and believe that God has a purpose for everything. The scriptures tells us in Isaiah 45:5-7 (NIV)

I am the LORD, and there is no other;
apart from me there is no God.
I will strengthen you,
though you have not acknowledged me,
so that from the rising of the sun
to the place of its setting
men may know there is none besides me.
I am the LORD, and there is no other.
I form the light and create darkness,
I bring prosperity and create disaster;
I, the LORD, do all these things.
God demonstrated his control over our lives every day. Our God is absolute he has dominion and over the universe, the weather on this earth and the political climate of nations.
Some feel like quarreling with the Maker that goes far beyond the spirited dialogue that Moses, Job, and Jeremiah engaged in. Isaiah 45:9-12 (NIV) is describing an insolent assault on God's competence.
"Woe to him who quarrels with his Maker, to him who is but a potsherd among the potsherds on the ground.
Does the clay say to the potter, `What are you making?' Does your work say, `He has no hands'?
Woe to him who says to his father, `What have you begotten?' or to his mother,`What have you brought to birth?'
"This is what the LORD says-- the Holy One of Israel, and its Maker: Concerning things to come,
do you question me about my children, or give me orders about the work of my hands? It is I who made the earth and created mankind upon it. My own hands stretched out the heavens; I marshaled their starry hosts.

Not only is it wrong, it is ridiculous--as ridiculous as a pot complaining about the shape the potter gives it.
In Romans 9:20, Paul applies this analogy to complaints that God had treated the Jews unfairly.
But who are you, O man, to talk back to God? "Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, `Why did you make me like this?' " Romans 9:20 (NIV)

"I Won't Complain"

Do everything without complaining or arguing,
so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe
as you hold out the word of life--in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing.
But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service coming from your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you.
So you too should be glad and rejoice with me. Philippians 2:14-18 (NIV)

"Your Heart Must Believe" Romans 10:9-10

That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Romans 10:9-10

Some people may asked. What is the belief defined my God? To be saved you must believe that Jesus is Lord and Savior. It's not enough to say that you believe in God, the demons believe in God also.(James 2:19) Jesus is Lord is the confession of faith. True belief begin with the heart as the Holy Spirit open your heart to the truth .(1Co 12:3) The gospel message that God sent His Son Jesus, who died for our sins and on the third day he rose. Those who believe and confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord died and was raised from the dead will be saved.

It's never too late and too soon to come to our Lord Jesus Christ, just come as you are any time, any place.

Faith That Saves / Born Again

Acts 16:29-32 The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. 30He then brought them out and asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"
31They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household." 32Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house.

The Bible tells us that faith comes by hearing the word of God (Romans 10:17) The faith we have is anchored in our relationship with the true and living Lord. That's what it means to be saved. Paul said, "If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved" (Romans 10:9-10). And by hearing the word of God and confessing with their mouth the jailer and his household was saved.
To be assured of salvation, simply take God at His Word:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 (KJV)

THE COMMITMENT

I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.

PRAYER OF COMMITMENT

Dear Lord Jesus,
I know I am a sinner and I need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins.
I now invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as Lord and Savior.
In Jesus name. Amen.

COMING BACK TO CHRIST

If you have failed to follow Christ and you are sorry and you are ready to come back to Him, Here is what you must do.

1. Confess your sins.

The Bible says, If we confess our sins,he is faithful and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1John 1:9

2. Surrender your life to God's control.

The Bible says, Do not offer the parts of your body to sin... but rather offer yourselves to GOD. Romans 6:13

3. As for daily strength to stay on God's pathway.

The Bible says, I can do all things through Him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13

Walking by Faith, Not by Sight

The journey of faith at times is not easy for us, but we must take God at his word and step out in faith, the growth, the blessings, the healing and the miracles will be far greater than we could ever ever we could imagine. I dare you to trust God and stretch out and reach for all the blessings God has for you through faith.

Hebrews 11:1
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
